As a lover of vintage swimwear, I wanted to make a vintage set with a modern twist. As this look was emulated in the 1940s and 1950s, I thought the records in the background would be a lovely touch. A classic, spunky red swimsuit with polka-dot wedges give an old-time feel, as do the cat-eye sunglasses. The sunhat also works well with the red-and-white motif. The hoops and bangles are a playful nod to the mod era of the 1960s, but at the same time correlates with the essence of the outfit and is also very modern. As a hairstyle, pulling back the beachy waves into a loose bun is both functional around the water, and fashionable.
